relocating from Memphis to Texas- how is it? jobs,weather, homes,elem. schools curriculum,sales tax…?
i’ve never lived outside of memphis, how much more different is is in Texas? i am moving w/my husband and 4 kids-any suggestions on what area to reside (McKinney, Plano, Fort Worth, Garland. I hear homes are affordable,i am not looking to buy a home just renting until we find what area we like best. Are there any homes for rent that work with bad credit?Cost of living, is it expensive? I am not looking to live in Dallas. (looking more in the suburban areas). Help!!!
I agree with the first answer. I also grew up in East Texas, not too far from Tyler. Prices are better, people are friendly and the pace of life is so much better away from the big city.
I moved to Arlington at the age of 18 and then to Ft. Worth. I hated it. The area is very nice, but I missed East Texas and moved back home after less than a year in the “Big City”
I didn’t have children back then, but any time you get closer to a major city, the school systems aren’t the same. I prefer smaller city schools. Also, the crime rate in the Metroplex, as the Dallas/Ft. Worth area is called, is very high.
I am sorry I can’t give you a good rating for the Metroplex, but East Texas would be a better bet all the way around for you and your family; Safer, better schools and not as expensive.

My company has been invited to a business convention in Nigeria to speak at an event there.
We’ve met the people running the event, they came to the US to meet us. So it isn’t people that have contacted us from there and just asked us to come. However, we have not done any business with them in the past.
So this is basically going there without knowing anyone.
I’ve read the travel warnings about Nigeria, and I’m wondering if it’s even a good idea to go. It could be a good opportunity, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the risk.
Has anyone been there recently?
Any thoughts or suggestions?

I DJ around my city and I’ve been making somewhere in the area of $200 per party but I’ve spent myself dry on new equipment, clothes and other things i need. Right now things are pretty slow for me, and I want to have some money to invest in day-trading, re-selling items for profit, as well as start new hobbies. All I need is an initial fund, but I can’t think of any means of getting it. I can’t get a job because I’m a year too young and the way the economy is I’m sure neighbors don’t want to pay a kid for mediocre yard-work or babysitting and my parents aren’t able to give me an allowance. I’ve tried marketing my DJ business over the internet and in my neighborhood but again, parties are the last thing people can worry about during a recession. I’ve tried doing internet surveys years ago and they’re all scams. The only other ideas i can think of require money to make money. If anyone has an idea of what I can do, I’d greatly appreciate it. I was given a free car. Just for fixing it. But now I find out it’s not paid for the car lot has been?
looking for it since September of 2007. The person gave me the car told me to get a wrecker because their landlord wanted the car out of the yard right now. So we paid 150 to haul it 35 miles home. Got the car home and find out NO TITLE No Bill of Sale. So I start looking over the 2 registrations in the Car and find out that there is a lein on the car, and so ther IS NO TITLE. The car lot her Husband bought it from still has the title. But if I pay them what He owes I can have the title.I have NO job I got the car thinking minor repair I could have a way to look for work. This car lot is 50 mile from where I Iive so I would be out more money $485 But then that puts him good with the Car LOT and he is in good standings with them. Can I do anything to them for giving away what the car lot told me is basically a stolen car.
Technically the car was abandoned by the previous owner who evidently never finished paying for it.
Anytime you take a car under questionable circumstances you are taking a chance. Depending on what state you’re in, at best, you would have had to file a mechanics lien to get title to the car, paid for the transfer and registration fees (which would have taken some time) plus paid to get the car running. At worst the car could have been stolen, had liens against it or cost more to repair than it’s worth.
The time to check on the legal status of the car was BEFORE YOU PAID TO HAVE IT TOWED.
Now you’re out $150.00. How much will you time and money spend to get that $150.00 back?
Personally I’d say that it was a $150.00 lesson in how not to get a car.
The idea of suing someone who let you tow a car off their property for damages or lost wages is absolutely ludicrous.

Have you considered multi-level marketing? Even if it was one of many streams of income you were generating. You can also use it to promote other streams you’re inolved in and if you’re good at it, it’s very profitable.

im 13 so my hair is really oily n greasy. but, ive had bad greasy hair my whole life soooo now its really really really bad.
i keep my hair out of my face to stop pimples and to stop my hair from getting dirty faster. it really works cuz it stays healthier longer. but, i cant style my hair, and when i put my hair down out of the pony tail, its flat at the top, but indents real bad in the middle, so the bottom is poofy…

alright i used to have the same exact problem gurl. ok, i started using the Vive Pro, wonderful and i suggest you cut down on the conditioner, using less conditioner at the top of your head, and maybe put in a little more shampoo :] too much conditioner will make your hair look gross, so watch the amounts and u can fix the problem! :]
