We bought a house on land contract 2 years ago and now the owner is filing bankruptcy. What do we do?
We bought a house by land contract 2 years ago. We have never missed a payment and the mortgage is, as of now, paid up to date. The guy we purchased from (the guy who still holds a mortgage on the property) was a small business owner and his business went under. Now, he is filing Chapter 13 bankruptcy because of his business losses, but this only allows him to protect the house he personally lives in, despite the fact the mortgage on this property is good. His lawyer is telling us to just keep making the mortgage payments (directly to the mortgage company rather than thru him) and well be good because it’s not in default. The mortgage is thru GMAC, who we hear are not fun to work with. Are we going lose the house? Should we stop making payments? Scared sh*tless right now, we have three children, have invested a lot of money into the house on renovations (roughly $10K), and we recieved the $8K home Buyers Tax credit when we signed the contract. Feel like we’re in deep. HELP!!!
This is why people should never enter into a land contract that is still mortgaged in the sellers name. You need to have your own attorney who can review the contract and perhaps approach GMAC to see if they will assist in your actual purchase of the property. If you can not qualify for a loan(which is why you probably used the land purchase approach) or if the property does not appraise high enough, you may lose all you have invested.

A lady by the name of Susan from ATCA group Inc. emailed a job position for a payment processor working from home and said that she got my resume of Yahoo jobs . Is ATCA group an actual legit company?
I just called the BBB today and they said it is a scam I then turned them in the The Federal Trade Commission also and they said the same thing….
Though when I called the attorney General to turn the info in to them they told me to look it up some more. For me the red flags hit when it had to do with outsourcing and bank accounts…. I plan to contact Western Union and see what they have to say and if ATCA is an actual partner with them….
Honestly, I don’t want to trust them and I plan to contact the NY attorney General and see if they have received any complaints about it, but I am highly suspicious.

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies.
You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job.
These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as “work at home” because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

Why are we paying such high taxes? Let’s start with sending illegal immigrants home.?
After we send home the illegal immigrants, let’s start turning away unproductive immigrants. Historically, immigrants were turned away if they could not prove they could become a productive member of our society (i.e. did they have a good trade/skill that we could use here?). If they didn’t have a viable skill, or there skill was currently not available in the work force, they were sent home. Nowadays, anyone can come here and start collecting government money that will allow them to get by without a job. It’s a meager means of living but it’s still cash out of your pocket and mine.
Why are the least paid Americans footing the majority of the bill for these programs? Very few, if any, other countries have programs like we do. Why can a woman have five children, each from different fathers, stay at home and get more tax free money than a newly graduated college student?

Well, the reason we HAVE so many illegal immigrants is because we give away way waaaay too much money in social programs, to both illegal and legal residents. If we shift responsibility back to the individual communities and churches, who will not be so free with the money that isn’t theirs, we’ll have both more personal responsibility taken, and less illegal immigration.
So. Stop giving away money to people who don’t know how to manage it, let the churches feed the hungry (if praying before meals offends people, let ‘em find an athiest shelter to feed them!), stop paying girls to have babies that they can’t support because they aren’t married to the fathers, and VOILA! The government bureaucracy gets cut in half (yeah, right, they WANT to spend money so they don’t lose their jobs) and our taxes go way down.
Oh, and I DEFINATELY think that a child born in this country to an illegal mother should NOT get automatic citizenship OR WIC/Welfare benefits.

Why can’t anybody ever find a home job?
I have spent TONS of money to find a lagit home job and can’t seem to find one. I’ve spent thousands of hours looking and can never come up with anything. I don’t think that it’s fair to have to PAY to GET paid. They all seem to be scams. If someone has a home job that DOESN’T cost anything please let me know. Because I have given up the search. I am completely convinced that there is no such thing as work from home jobs. And if there is you always have to pay a FEE. THAT’S A BUNCH OF CRAP!!!!!!!
